Stitchers by the Sea (SBTS) is a chapter of The Embroiderers' Guild of America (EGA) in the Greater Pacific Region (GPR). The purpose of the guild it to encourage all textile arts, especially those created using a needle with an eye, and to encourage high standards in those arts, as well as to promote an active educational program of education and study to preserve the heritage of embroidery and needle arts.

Membership is available to anyone interested in textile arts. There are numerous benefits to membership, including a subscription to Needle Arts, a quarterly publication of EGA. There are also opportunities to attend chapter workshops, regional and national seminars, participate in correspondence courses, and take advantage of many educational materials provided by EGA.

The annual dues for SBTS in 2007 are $45, and $50 starting in 2008. This includes membership in the national EGA organization and our region, GPR.
